dTIMS New Zealand 10th Anniversary

In April 2008 we celebrated the 10th anniversary of dTIMS in New Zealand in style!
This was only possible through the generosity of our sponsors: Deighton and Opus (Gold Sponsors) and MWH (Bronze Sponsor). The conference was started with a word of welcome from Vicki Deighton and Ian Marshall and the celebration would not be complete without cutting the celebration cake!

A selection of presentations from the user-base were presented in this conference.

Thank you for your contribution and for making this conference an unforgettable event.

RIMS
The Road Information Management Systems (RIMS) Group exists to lead, promote, and develop best practice in road information management to ensure nationwide consistency and efficiency. This complements the work of the NAMS Group by building on its flagship product, the International Infrastructure Management Manual. Best practice includes information systems, guidelines and other tools.
The RIMS Group goal is to ensure that best practice road asset management systems are available in New Zealand to enable the optimal targeting of road asset maintenance funds which:
- Deliver accurate, timely and relevant information
- Are the most cost effective, least risk systems
- Address the business needs of road controlling authorities
Since 1998, RIMS Group has been developing a predictive modeling tool for road management, called dTIMS*, working in conjunction with New Zealand road controlling authorities and the consulting industry. dTIMS is able to be fully integrated with RAMM**, New Zealand’s first road asset management system.
RIMS has also developed a range of best practice guidelines, several of which are available on this website in the downloads area.
